2024 Queen's Quest
December 5th, 6:15PM
Thank you, Midtown Elementary, for hosting the Queen's Quest Chess Tournament, and thank you to State Senator Tom Butler for sponsoring this event.
Over 100 players participated on November 16, 2024. The tournament featured many individual and team awards, a fantastic environment, and delicious concessions, including food from Mei Wei and Chick-fil-A. We hope everyone had a great experience. Thank you to all participants for showing up.
Individual Awards:
K-3 Under 300 Section

1st Place: Saarung Sree; 2nd Place: Noah House; Tied for 3rd: Neil Hsu, and Eugene Baker; Tied for 5th Place: Yuan Su, Grahame Barnett, Barrett Smith, Kolby Grissim, and Talon Busby.

1st Place: Warner Smith; 2nd Place: Arjun Narahari; Tied for 3rd Place: Rishika Baipu, Henry Saulters (not pictured), and Udara Sarathchandra; 6th Place: Micah Thomas; 7th Place: Austin Pullum.

1st Place: Jonathan Lam; Tied for Second Place: Charlie Saulters, Ananth Ravishekar, Rais Nichols, Samuel Ellis, and Dennis Lenski.

Queen's Quest K-12 Team Awards1st place: Bob Jones High School, 2nd place: Journey Middle School. Bob Jones and Journey Middle School tied on team points, but Bob Jones came out ahead on tie-breaks. This was the closest competition we have ever had in the K-12 section!
