QUEEN'S QUEST TOURNAMENT REPORT

Paragraph picture
MidTown Elementary hosted our first team + individual over-the-board tournament of the school year, and it was fabulous! Our newest school in the Madison system was designed for events just like this offering plenty of room for players and families to spread out and enjoy the day. Thank you MidTown for being an excellent host! Thank you to our sponsor Lockheed Martin for your support! Thank you Nadia Sosonkina for taking the awards ceremony photos!

The final tournament report with individual and team standings in tie-break order can be found here. The USCF tournament report (not in tie-break order) with everyone's updated ratings can be found here.

K-3 UNDER 300 SECTION

The K-3 Under 300 section was the largest, and it was exciting to so many unrated players competing in their first rated tournament. Until one plays in 26 rated games, the USCF reports a rating with the letter "p" by your number which stands for provisional. So if you played all 5 rounds of QQ, you might see a rating like this: 325P5. Many of our players achieved a rating or provisional rating above 300 in this tournament. That will mean they will register for K-3 Championship at Rookie Rally in February!
