Two great chess tournaments are offered by MCCL in January. Here are the details.
Winter Scholastic for Grades K-12
Rated and Non-Rated Sections

MCCL members; $20 for non-MCCL members)
Who should register for this tournament:
- Students who enjoyed Queen’s Quest and want additional practice before the Rookie Rally.
- Students who were not able to compete at
Queen’s Quest.
- Students who are beginners and would like to play in a non-rated tournament.
Friday and Saturday
When: January 8-9, 2016

Saturday, Jan. 9th – 10:00, 12:30, 2:45, 5:00
Player meeting: Friday, Jan. 8th at 5:50 p.m.
Time Control: Game 60/d5
Fee: $20
Who should register for this tournament:
- Students who are experienced tournament players and who want to prepare to compete at upcoming National chess tournaments using longer time controls.
- Students who would like to try to qualify for the City Chess Championship.
