Grade Nationals Chess Clinic - 11/2
Starts: Nov 2, 2019 @ 9:30 AM
Get Ready for the National K-12 Chess Championship - December 13-15
MCCL is excited to offer a free chess clinic for our students who will be competing at the upcoming Grade Nationals in Orlando. We have two of our best coaches willing to spend a couple of hours with our kids to help them focus on principles and openings that our students will need to understand at one of the most challenging tournaments of the year. Both clinic sessions will be geared generally toward a particular age group/skill level, however, if your child has a need in one area more than another, please contact Ranae Bartlett at mccl.director@gmail.com to see if another clinic session would be more appropriate for your child.
MCCL Executive Director Ranae Bartlett will also conduct a parent session for those who will experience their first Grade Nationals this December. She will share basic information and then answer any questions parents may have. This tournament is unique in that one must compete in their grade level, and the school team score is comprised of the top 3 from any school/grade level. Students will get to experience playing against some of the highest rated kids in the nation and will learn a tremendous amount. And, they will be participating in the last Grade Nationals at Disney World!
